For agencies and consultancies

You have a vacature and a pile of CVs. Who do you call first?

Put in the vacature and the CVs you already have. Smart CV Writer tells you who fits best and why, and what each candidate is missing, so you can argue your pick to your client and talk the others through what to fix.

A vacature for a Senior Platform Engineer with seven candidates ranked by match percentage, each with a written reason covering what fits and what is missing.

The flow

Start from the vacature, the way you already work

01

Put in the vacature

A PDF, a Word file or pasted text. We pull out the role, client, budget and the must-haves and nice-to-haves. You only fill in what we couldn't find.

02

Add the CVs you have

A handful, or a whole folder: PDFs, Word files, or text copied straight from LinkedIn or an email. Nobody has to fill in a form.

03

Know who to talk to

Every candidate scored against the role, best match first, with the reason: what fits and what is missing. Then pick who goes to your client.

Who is the best match, and why

You need an argument, not just a number: why this candidate, and why not that one. Each score comes with a written reason you can repeat to your client, or challenge if you know better. It is a starting point for your judgement, never a decision made for you.

Scores are kept, so opening a vacature again is instant. They only recompute when your candidates change.

Two ranked candidates for a Senior Platform Engineer role, 90% and 70%, each with a written reason covering what fits and what is missing.

What each candidate is missing

A near-miss is often a placement waiting for one better CV. Every requirement in the vacature is rated separately, must-haves first, with a sentence on how the CV does or doesn't address it. The percentage is worked out from those ratings, so the number and the reasons always agree.

A vacature page: location, work mode, budget, start date and period as tags, followed by the must-have and nice-to-have requirements as clear lists.

Then help them fix it

For every requirement a candidate falls short on, you get concrete advice and a short checklist of things to add or clarify, in plain language you can pass on to the candidate, or to whoever writes their CV. Send the updated version back in and see the match move.

Or let us do the heavy lifting: we rewrite the CV toward this vacature with targeted edits only (never a wholesale rewrite), suggest skills to drop, and score the result the same way an outside reader would.

To lift this match, ask the candidate to:

  • Show the scale they ran Kubernetes at: clusters, services, team size
  • Name the infrastructure-as-code tools they used, not just "automation"
  • Say plainly whether they led or mentored other engineers

Make the case to your client

Select the candidates you want to put forward and download a clean PDF: your agency's name and logo, your accent colour, each candidate's summary and the reason they fit. Candidates' email addresses and phone numbers are left out by default, so the introduction stays with you.

Next to it: a report that sells each candidate on their merits, and a strengths-and-weaknesses comparison sheet for the client.

Your agency, your look

Upload a logo, choose an accent colour and write a one-line tagline. The workspace and everything you send out carries your identity, not ours.

Candidate CVs can also come out in your own house template, so what reaches the client looks like it came from you.

Why agencies use it

The parts of the job that eat your day

First triage, fast

Forty CVs in the inbox and a vacature that just landed. See who is worth a call in minutes, not an evening.

A reason you can defend

Your client asks why this candidate. You have a written, requirement-by-requirement answer, not a gut feeling.

The same standard for everyone

A junior recruiter and your best one assess CVs against the same criteria, so the quality of a shortlist doesn't depend on who happened to read it.

Everyone you already know

A new vacature can be checked against the candidates already on file from earlier searches, the good ones who didn't get the last role. Not the people currently placed.

Works on your phone

Check a shortlist between meetings, or look up a candidate while you are on the call. The whole workspace is built to work on a phone, not just a desk.

Your candidates' data stays yours

  • Everything you upload is private to your agency. Two agencies uploading the same person's CV each get their own separate copy, and the two are never merged.
  • Not used to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's.
  • Stored and processed in the EU (Paris).
  • Remove a candidate and their CV data from your workspace at any time, in one click.
  • We sign a data processing agreement with every agency before real candidate data goes in.
